Basic N/A Engine Rebuild
Basic N/A Engine Rebuild
My engine has over 200k on it, still running strong, but I'm interested in rebuilding it with 11:1 pistons and stronger internals so that I can have much more reliable engine that I could switch over to a turbo setup by just changing the pistons whenever I plan to go FI. My budget is 6.5k and so far this is my plan:
Replace any bad parts in the heads and resurface. I don't think a total rebuild is necessary. The stock heads seem rugged enough for this
Build the bottom end with Wiseco 11:1 pistons, Eagle connecting rods, ACL engine bearings and ARP main and head studs. Overbore by .020 and resurface.
Replace water pump, timing chains and tensioners, spark plugs, performance headers, new hoses, gaskets, seals and I think that's all I've thought of so far.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions to make this more complete?
