2004.5 Technosquare Dyno!!!!!!!!

Just got back from Church automotive in torrance with the new hp/tq numbers from the technosquare flash. I am the test car for the new ecu flashes so we really didnt know what the new programming would do. Needless to say HOLY SHIIT!! As you can see I gained about 12hp and 15 lb/ft. of torque! The A/F is still a bit lean so there might be a little more power lurking in this engine. The dyno sheets show the old dyno run in blue and the new run in red. The difference between the old and new torque curve is ridiculous though, and this was a big surprise. The runs were done in 4th and 5th gear, and with the dynapack compensating for the gear ratios, the numbers only differed about 1hp. As far as mods go, I have exhaust, headers, intake, test pipes, UR pulley. I dont know what the flash does with a stock 2004.5 g35, but with mods, it is a must.

wow. those numbers are impresive. what do you mean a "new" ecu flash. are they trying to improve on the old reflash? and when will we be able to buy the new one?

This is the 2004.5 ecu flash they have been saying they would release for the past year almost. It is basically the same programming as the 2003 and early 2004 flash, technosquare just had to learn how to program the 2004.5 ecu's because the two are very different.

Looks good. Did they change the ECU programming based on a list of your mods, or did they strap the car onto a dyno and program it from there?

As you know, I was at Church Automotive not too long ago. It's interesting that on my car, 3rd and 4th gear showed about 15 HP difference, even when Shawn programmed in the different gear ratios. He mentioned that the MT cars show 2-3 HP difference at most, but we couldn't figure out why it was so different on my car. 4th gear consistently about 260, 3rd consistently about 270.

It actually read 268, then 269 in 5th and 270 in 4th. However since the first dyno run was done in 4th gear, it made more sense to do the comparison of the before and after in 4th.

the TS site says they'r looking for test cars for the '-5 software so I don't think it'd work

Very favourable gains SteveAreno. You must be very happy with those results.

So did you just send your ECU to Technosquare along with your list of mods? Or was there any tuning involved? Thanks.

I will prob have to go back one more time to get the tuning perfect but I live about 10 miles away from them and they just plugged their laptop into the cars port instead of taking the ecu out.

I'd be concerned about those AF #'s...16 is high even for an NA G. Nice numbers though. my car put 265rwhp with 253 ftlbs there when I was NA

To Technosquare or not to TS

I have read all the stories and opinions on Technosquare and have come to the conclusion that they rarely get it right the first time. ( if I am wrong about that, I apologize now ) Living in Michigan, thus having to send my ECU
2500 miles I am concerned about how often I may have to send it. Is the bang worth the bucks and time?

Good to know the results Steve. Let's try to get you in so we can do a wideband O2 to see the real A/F's you're running and from there, we can release the program if everything's good to go.
