Symptoms of bad crank sensor
Symptoms of bad crank sensor
helo. I am back with a question!
i am interested in a g35 sedan.
owner says it has 115k miles and that it runs great, but it needs the crank sensor!.
can the car run great" and still need a crank sensor?
if the sensor is bad, doesnt seem like a big deal, just saw a diy on replacing it super easy.
but what should i look for when i check the car out?!
please help.
thanks in advance anyone.

Yea. On the DIY I saw. It was just a 10 mm bolt with a connector. Simple
How much do you think the Nissan dealer will charge?
Can I not check it myself?
Pull codes? Would a bad crank sensor throw a code?
I was thinking of running a compression test on it

I dont see him not just replacing it and keep driving it or replace before he sells it. Ask him how much it cost, if he says I just hadnt done it, or doesnt make it seem likes its not a whole lot, I'd get suspicious.
Bad crank sensor would make it cut out and stall and sometimes not start.

Yea that's why I was asking what to look for. Because it is simple to replace and for him not to do it. Air head or just doesn't use the car.
Thanks for those symptoms. I'll look for them when I check it out.
And as for the sensor throwing a code, would it?
