I'm new to the VQ35 game coming from little brother motor VQ30 in a 5th gen Maxima that was strictly a daily driver. I drive a lot on a single day. At least 120 miles a day but usually ends up more. I work 60 miles one way from my home. I always used the extended performance mobile 1 oil with no problems in the Max. Now that I have gotten into my 03 Sedan its eatting up this oil.

I plan on switching over to some non synthetic oil on the next oil change to see if that makes much of a difference. Within 5/6k miles I have added 3.5/4 qrts of oil. I don't see a point of having a oil that is suppose to last 15k (I know it depends on different factors of how long it really does last) but I'm already adding over half of what the motor holds in new oil.
