Smell Oil Burning

So when I turn my car on and have it running, I have noticed a strong oil burning smell, and yet there is no oil leak anywhere. Also have noticed that my car is eating up oil very quickly, either that or leaking? I don't want to take my car to a dealership or mechanic just yet, I was wondering if you guys had any ideas where the problem may be occurring so I can attempt to fix it myself and not have to pay much.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Check your spark plugs see if there is any oil in there?

Not really just need a 10mm ratchet, spark plug adapter, and some extensions. Time and patience help as well!
