What problems can I run into when swapping a 06 auto g35 engine into a 03 6 speed g35? My 03 VQ35DE with 160k miles lost compression in cylinder 6. Found a deal on a 06 g35 auto engine with 88k.
Will the 03 6-speed ecu work?
What would need to be done to connect the engine to the tranny? Properly fits?
Will the car put out the same power?
Is the 06 auto g35 a vq35de rev up or a vq35de non rev-up?

Non rev-up for sure.
Power should be the same, assuming it's in good condition.
ECU idk. I think the whole pre 03.5 ECU vs post 03.5 ECU might come into play here since they're different. Dunno, just throwing it out there.
