How to Break In A Remanufactured Engine

2005 g35 coupe, 111k miles. Just had a remanned engine put in after the last one blew a piston ring (previous owners fault). I am wondering what a good break in procedure would be? Should I change oil at 500 miles? Conventional or synthetic? I have searched online, but this is a remanufactured engine not rebuilt or factory. Thanks for any advice .
