Whining in the engine bay?

I put on a new exhaust and was reving it to around 6000 rpms to show it off, and next thing I hear is like a mid to high pitched whining coming from the front of the engine bay. Turns out I snapped the a/c belt. So I replaced both belts and it still whines, but only after I've been driving it for a little while, and if I shut off the engine and immediately start it back up, it goes away. Sprayed some belt conditioner on the belts just to see what would happen but it still whines, so don't think it's slipping, a friend said it could be a bad bearing, but would it be that if it goes away after restarting it? Idk, it's annoying the crap outta me. Any thoughts?
