Hard shifts

Hey guys, I have a 06 coupe 6mt.

This has been a problem for about 3 months now. But after about 30-45min of driving or sitting in traffic even, it's really hard to shift into gear or sometimes it won't want to go into gear. Sometimes I'll be stuck on the freeway at a dead stop and I'll try to shift into 1st and it just does not want to go in. I feel like the clutch isn't engaged enough for me to shift cause I push the pedal and I push the shifter and it doesn't go in but you can feel the car lean forward a bit.

But on the car, I have a rjm pedal so I don't have a stuck pedal, I've had the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinders changed. I have dot4 fluid in the line. I also had the tranny fluid changed a while back, but it wasn't redline or anything special.

When I head to work in the morning or when I leave in the evening the car drives great it's just on longer drives it's rough. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be? should I just bring it into the shop?

You need to adjust the pedal. If you don't know how, take it to whoever installed it. Raising the engagement point will fix this. I assume you have an earlier version of the RJM pedal.

Ok thanks, I'll try adjusting the pedal.

Why would it change as I drove the car though? Like if the clutch engagement is fine when I first drive it but gets harder to shift later in the drive, does it have to do with the fluid heating up?

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it has to do with the fluid heating up and if you have an earlier version the pedal can "adjust itself" by wiggling around. I pulled mine apart and put a washer on to stop the wiggling and it fixed it. Also have a SS clutch line that helped a lot too.
