Greddy twin turbo and crash bar

Daaamnnn you Greddy for not mentioning you cant install the crash bar when mounting the intercooler in their kit. I dont know what idiot would even think about running without a crash bar.

For anyone who is interested in running the Greddy TT kits you have to either delete the crash bar, or find a way around it. If you wanna run the crash bar (and you should) you can gut the factory bracket and get the pipe through. It wont be as solid as original design but definitely beats not having one at all. Shittty phone pics, but gives you an idea.

I attempted to make it work as well by gutting the mount like you did. I didn't like the fact that the clamp for the coupler was damn near impossible to get to though. I ended up leaving the crash bar off altogether. How did you strengthen the bar after shaving the back of it?

You won't believe how often people remove the crash bar when installing an intercooler. It's pretty standard. A lot of times, cars sold in Japan don't even have that bar from the factory, it's a US safety requirement.

Tons of people remove it.

You can replace the aluminum one with a steel bar.

GIve more protection and more room. They are easily fabbed by any decent welder for <$100.
