Upper Oil Pan Leak

My Mechanic noticed on my last oil change my Upper Oil Pan is weeping. It was not noticed last oil change so it is a recent development. He said it is very minor at the moment. Not leaking just weeping. He was adamant that it not to be concerned with at the moment. While I have read up that it is not the most common, it is a pain in the @$$ to get worked on. Either sub frame removed or the engine/tranny. Either or it is a lot of labor for a cheap fix.

So I am making a list of other things to get replaced while I am in there.

Car Facts
2006 DG Automatic Coupe
54k miles
New Tires
All Fluids, Trans, Oil, Coolant, Diff, Power steering, brake.

-Red Nissan RTV
-Oil Pan Gasket O-Rings
-Rear Main Seal
-Front Main Seal (maybe?)

My friend who is a BMW mechanic said it would be good to get a upgraded bottom end installed since the engine is out and that area is being worked on. Crank and rods, heads. Would that be advisable?

He also mentioned getting the suspension worked on as well since its easy to access at that point? Is that overkill? Or at this mileage is it better to get some of it worked on? I was planning on upgrading the engine at some point.

Thanks in advance to all who participate.

Im getting ready to do my upper again tomorrow, its not that hard just kind of time consuming. Just brace your engine from the top and remove the subframe. It takes about 5-6 hours with a friend with a lift. You dont need to to drain any fluid but the oil.

If you have a spare 3-5k then you can get a forged bottom end but no need unless there is a problem or plan on going F/I.

Also F Nissan RTV. Get "The Right Stuff" from autozone or some place like that. Mise well do rear and front main since its foing to be torn aprt.

Yeah, I originally wanted the Stillen SC for a F/I build, but my350z and NICO members state over and over that it is underpowered for the money, and has belt/pulley issues over time. So i am thinking Greedy TT setup down the road.

I dont have any friends locally that can do it. Few xbox buddies are mechanics and would fly here and do it for 400...but need all the tools still todo it. Anyone in the Seattle area that knows a good shop to take it to? My mechanic said he would do it, and do it right. But since hasn't done it personally he is not the most confident about taking out my motor.

Dont pull the motor to do the upper oil pan. Get the manual off of nico and follow it, very easy as long as you can get access to a lift. If your mechanic will do it help him do it and learn as you guys do it.

Well don't listen to me, as mine still pisses oil after just redoing my upper. Now I'm going to have to pull my motor and see WTF is going on with it.

Holy cow I am still dealing with this problem, oil leak upper pan. No one will work on it. I had an idea? Call a transmission shop? Ask them to drop the panny and do upper oil pan?

My car is 159k, always dealer serviced. Runs great, even with this problem. Just drops oil on my landlords cememnt. Big problem. Pleae advise.

I should add, no shops I contact will do it, I already got played by another for 900, and m mechanic friend says what they all say, buy a new motor....to replace an oil pan /gasket. Sigh. THank you. ise.
