Need Help!

So I recently purchased a used 2005 g35. When I purchased it, it drove fine no SES or anything. Next Day the SES comes on. Today Im driving with the SES, and battery and brake light kinda on (not in limp mode from what I've read) and the car mid drive doesn't accelerate in Drive. I pulled over and the car wouldn't start, like a dead battery. I held down the negative on the battery which seemed loose and the car then started. It accelerated normally in park and drove all the way out of the parking lot until i had to turn into another parking lot. This time when I pull over all the dash lights go on and off and the instrument cluster was flashing on and off all the lights were on SES, ABS everything. I started to drive around very slowly in this parking lot and then the car got fast out of no where and the instrument cluster quit flashing, and it turned off the brake, battery and SES lights. Now the the SLIP and VDC OFF light are on and it drove home fine.

Can anyone tell me what they think this may be? The car has 190K Miles, and is really nice, Is it worth fixing and keeping?

Thanks!!

I'll answer the last question first - yes its worth keeping and fixing up if its still in good shape - getting harder to find them in good shape anymore.

Ok. So i personally have only had my g35 for a week, but i've had nissans all my life (4 altima's, a sentra, a couple pathfinders) and this is pretty typical dead battery/bad alternator symptoms. I have also run into one where it did that and the alternator connector had popped out. I'd had the car for years before it did this, and i had never removed that connector.

It would also do the same if your battery cable was loose. So i would start by taking it in (assuming you don't have the proper equipment) and have them test the battery/starting/charging system. And i'd also get that cable taken care of for that matter just to be sure its not something stupid like that.

Having owned several nissans and working on pretty much everything else, this sounds like a low voltage problem, one way or another. Now to pinpoint it.
