Looking forward to seeing the finished car. I've seen a G35 built with a vk56 with a supercharger by Drift Emporium but, this being a daily driver is way better.

There are a few v8's in G35's (vk56 specifically). Most were drift vehicles, and i know one that just finished his and it is (was) his daily.

Yeah, where? I've poked around the internet a few times and all I've found were unfinished attempts as far as the VK. Obviously there are a few LS swaps, but I don't recall a VK.

Go to YouTube. Drift Emporium has a G35 coupe with a supercharged V8 and it is AWESOME. As a matter of fact, I'm going to look at it again myself.

Drift emporium has had there g for a long time. It's a stillen sc. That is on my mind verse high compression. Like between 13.5 and 14.1 compression. Lol. I need to read more about drivability.

Like you, I'm wondering if Drift Emporium can apply that conversion to a daily driven G. That would be awesome to see and drive everyday and still enjoy all the creature comforts the G has to offer.

FYI, I'm totally lurking this thread. I usually check my subscribed threads first, then look for new stuff.

The only thing I'd have to add to this discussion is "NEAT!" and "POST MORE PICS AND DESCRIPTIONS!" So probably not incredibly relevant. lol

Watching for ideas, my G is over 210k now and may soon be relegated to "secondary play car" status along with my wife's 240SX.

Same^! Even if nobody replies, keep posting, I do that with my thread just so if I want to I can show someone the whole thing. It will always be there! Also, I use the G driver upload to host photos, not photobucket like you mentioned previously in this thread. I am hoping that will keep them safe for decades, but I am doubtful.

Keep it up man.

If you want some stuff machined and can supply me with drawings, I can probably help you out btw.

Hey yeah, actually I need to have my bellhousing removed and milled down for my adapter plate and mounting the vk auto bell housing, Where is your shop located?

Also if you do CAD, where I work as a cutter that can handle up to 1/2 steel plate with a rotary cutter.

drift emprorium from I recall looking at and reading fabbed everything in house and is all one off pieces. I do not recall seeing anything off shelf or used from others. Unlike the motor mounts I finally got in the mail today. Same as Ryan Kado!

So after about 6 weeks of waiting, because they are built to order, I finally got my motor and trans mounts.

THANK YOU MCKINNEY MOTORSPORTS!!!

Ok, so first problem I have run into, not a huge deal, but kinda wondering how this happened. The quality of these mounts are incredible, the welds are super tight and clean. They somehow managed to under size the holes drilled for the mounting bolts. I had to redrill to 1/2, which was still a litte tight but worked out just fine.

Second problem, which I did not see posted on there website or on Kados M20 motorsport build thread was this little guy right here.

While the mount does go under this fitting. the piping is bent straight down into the mount so I now have to cut and flare this piece or attempt to find a fitting for a new line.

Just had a though, maybe I could take that piece, **** off the pipe, drill it out and tap it for a rubber hose fitting.

It's partly cuz the forums dead, partly cuz of the lurk-only crowd and partly cuz we've been teased before. I honestly can not wait to see this thing and hopefully you can bring new life/interest to heavily modding this platform again.

Hopefully you submit your build to some import mags and they can cover it so you get it out to a bigger audience. Great work so far, man.
Must respectfully disagree. UpRev in Austin has done a couple of G's and several Z's. AFAIK they've been successful at least twice in making everything work including AC and all gauges. Several of their swaps were for racing only so hooked up the bare bones necessary to get the car operational.
