I have a 2004 G35 6MT that has 170k miles, USA car. I recently bought a (JDM)Japanese 5AT 2004 350Z vq35de non-rev engine and did the swap, engine cranks but my car would not turn on, everything was a simple plug and play the 350z engine has 30k miles on it. I used my g35 6MT harness to install the JDM 350z engine. all of the wiring has been checked and didn't miss anything. the engine has new spark plugs, fresh optimum battery. current mods are cold air intake, plenum spacer, high flow cats, and exhaust.

My questions are:
Do i have to use the 350z JDM ECU? since its a 350z 5AT.
Do i Have to do a ECU Flash on my 6MT?
If anyone could advice on what steps to take next i would greatly appreciate it.
i thought it was a simple plug and play and start up.

 

you ever fix this issue?? i was looking into getting a jdm for my 03 g35.
