03 Sedan w/ 06 rev up motor swap QUESTIONS
Sooooo long story.....
After getting my 07 coupe totalled by some ******* with no license AND no insurance. Im forced to get back into the market for a new car. So ive been searching on craigs locally and I found an 03 sedan 6MT but the owner had done an engine swap with an 06 VQ which is a rev up in a non rev up car. He's selling the car cheap and I really want to get back into the scene but at the moment the cars not running due to the different harness. The 06 eng harness does not mate up to the 03 body harness.
would i be able to un pin the 03 harness and re pin it with an 06 plug?
I understand the ECU would need to be swapped to the 06 as well and some issues with the NATS. Would the 06 ECU communicate with the 03 BCM?
I know most of you would say to just swap in a non rev up motor in but I want to know EXACTLY what i would need to do to get it running without having to go to a Tuner and having to run an Standalone comp.
If anyone has done the swap with any success itd be nice to have some sort of guide or list on what id need to get the job done.
Thanks in advance.
