Can I use a non rev up short block on my rev up engine?

Well, got a nasty rod knock the last time I drove the car. Its an 07 coupe with the rev up engine. Just barely over 100k. I always kept the oil level topped off, but it did burn oil like crazy. Anyways I cam across a complete short block a shop has for sale from an 06 coupe, they cant verify if its a rev up engine or not. It has barely over 7k on it with documentation to prove it. Question is, can I use this bottom end on my rev up motor if its not from a rev up? Its a good deal and id rather go that route than a rebuild. Guessing I cant but figured is check. Thanks
