Tuner wants to swap a 04 ECU into my 03.5 Sedan

So I've been on a never ending quest to get a tune organized for my G. The tune possibilities play the role in what I'm going to do with the car this month.

03.5 G Sedan AT5 with older Gray connector ECU

The only licensed Uprev tuner within 2 hours of me is Custom Concept Motorsports in Chattanooga, TN. I don't have experience with this shop as I was in the American car world for over a decade and half.

Estimate was around $1200 for 2004 ECU, Patch Harness, Uprev License, and tuning. Which to me doesn't sound bad. If its doable.

His worry is hes not sure about the other units BCM, TCM, ABS, etc. I can't seem to find much info on this doing a search. Since this price includes tuning I rather go the Uprev route than a stand alone.

Let me know so I don't pull the trigger on something that can't happen and end up wasting a lot of money and time

The only thing I can think of is that the BCM has to be programmed to the ECU. At least when you get a new BCM this is true.
