Engine swap question

Engine swap question

I have a 2006 g35 with the vq35DE manual and i picked up a nice parts car for the motor, and its a 2008 g35 with the vq35HR Automatic, will this engine fit up to eveything or will i need some adapter plates and what not please help me out

DE to HR is not a direct swap. Not sure about everything required, but check out my 350z, someone just did one of these swaps and it was a whole lot of work and fabrication. Check out the engine swap section, good luck

To get started, you're going to need the HR manual trans (starter is on opposite side of engine, so bell housing differes), the HR steering rack from an 07-08 350Z, and figure out the wiring. At least you have the donor car to pull items from, just a shame it's automatic, so you'll still need to hunt down some other items.
