Leak

I recently found a leak in my 04G35X. It looks to be coming from between the front diff and engine, not good. Car has about 160k.

Has anyone else seen this or had to deal with it? I assume this is a big job. Would I be ale to pull the front drivers axle out (through the crankcase) without disassembling the front diff completely? I would think there's a retaining clip holding the axel in once the diff cover's removed.

Clean up the mess thoroughly, use a rag on a stick if needed, drive for a day and use an inspection mirror so you can see EXACTLY where it's leaking from. Take pictures if needed.

That's what I was thinking. I have it up on the lift (rotary platform lift) now at home but this could be something simple (hopefully) or something very time consuming. I also noticed both of my lower control are busting are shot and my wheel bearings are starting to get noisy, again. I just did both front axles as the inner boots tore. It's starting to nickel and dime me!

Honestly if it's not a vehicle you want to keep and fix then now would be the time to get rid of it, with winter approaching someone will ****** it up even with the mechanical deficiencies. Get yourself into something new.

This is sort of my beater, drive it to keep the miles off my truck, it's an 08 with 115k miles. We picked up a 11 G37x, they only offered 2500 trade for the 04 so I kept it.

Gonna let it set overnight to see of it leaks, if not I'll drive it tomorrow night and go from there. No matter what I think it's coming from the left or right axle seal, which I assume can only be fixed by removal of the diff. That does not seem to be easy.
