2JZ-GE swap
Hey guys.
As of recently I have been looking at getting a 2jz to build over the winter for my 2004 G35. So my question is in regards to a 2jz-ge i found a few days ago. Here is what the owner said about it
are there any members on here who are familiar with 2jzs and could tell me if this engine is worth the $850?
I understand this really isnt a question for here, but on the supraforum. but that website is dumb. so here it is.
let me know what you guys think. thank you!

Thank you for the reply. i agree that it's a little sketchy. I've changed my mind on getting the ge. looking into getting a gte. a bit more money. but i think itll be worth it.

GTE is definitely worth it, but depends if the guy did the work on the GE himself as to what the value is.
But for what you get stock, pick up a JDM Aristo 2jzGTE VVti and roll stock turbos at 320hp. Then single turbo it, give it more fuel and tune for 600 on the stock block. Ive had a few of both....

Let me restate my position...The Toyota engine swap will be costly in fab either way. My experience with them is in Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Unless you are doing the fab work and install yourself you are looking at alot of cash that could be used on building an OEM engine. The 2jzge would be a complete waste considering the stock VQ makes more power.
