You probably should do some searches on here for additional information. While anything is possible, it appears that you just about need a donor car to be able to pull it off successfully. There is one post related to a particular harness that while it has identical connectors, the connections must be re-pinned in the proper order for it to work.
My take is that it makes more sense to find another Rev-Up unit to replace yours, at least it would be R&R work instead of changing everything out to make it work. Good luck with it.

Short block is the same except the oil pump and some pan baffles. Rebuild (or just reuse) your heads, timing cover, and drop them on a short block with a rev up oil pump and a few bolts that are TTY.

Cost of a gasket kit, bolts, and non-rev donor is probably cheaper than finding a rev-up.

Depends on what condition your motor is in and how much was damaged.

If it's too banged up for the above then 5k will get you a rebuilt Rev-Up ready to drop right in.

Forgot to mention, it's worth checking car-part.com maybe someone nearby has one for a good price.

Yep and probably inherit someone else's engine woes or lousy maintenance routine. So you spend all that time/money to R&R the engine not knowing what you will end up with. Guess it all depends on what the OP plans to do with the car and the risk he wants to take.

I'm able to find a rev up motor but all of them are off a automatic. Can I just transfer the bell housing to make it work?

The rev-up was not available with an AT option, it was 6MT only. The rev-up came on '05-'07 G35 with the 6MT, on the 350Z SOME 2005's with 6MT got it as well as EVERY 6MT equipped 2006.

I think this is wrong. My understanding is that the REV-UP engine was only available with a MT in 2005 models but WAS available with MTs and ATs in 2006. I am not sure of 2007 units.

2005 350Z's came equipped with it for the track and anniversary package 6MT's, all other 2005 came with the non-rev. 2006 all 350Z with the 6MT was rev-up equipped. 2007 they switched to the HR motor.

As far as I'm aware there was never an instance of a VQ35DE Rev-Up being mated to an automatic transmission as a factory equipped item?

I think overall you are correct but I wonder if that was really set in stone at the factory? In other words as the assembly line switched production from one year to the next, did parts and assemblies get used up to clear them out for the new stuff? One reason why I bring this up is that I pulled the RevUp intake plenum that I have right now off of a wrecked '06 and it had a 5AT in it.

I also owned way back when, a brand new Plymouth 'Cuda that had a Challenger nameplate attached to the dash. The dealer changed it out for me but that kind of stuff does happen.

Considering how big of a market this vehicle had it wouldn't surprise me, some Australian models came with a CVT. I think it all comes down to if the ECU will play nice with the TCM since the transmission gets data on the Accelerator Pedal Position and Throttle Position Sensor sent to it.

ok my plan is to buy a none rev up motor and use the block. transfer the head from the revup motor. and rebuild it. and put it together.
doing this will cost me the same amount if I got a revup motor from the wrecker and not now if the engine will last.
Just double checking I can do that.... transfer the block from none revup.

Thanks

Yeah you can Google it to see how other folks have done it but definitely check out the factory service manual because it's got quite a few pieces and you want it assembled correctly. Make sure you buy new head bolts they are torque to yield.

Also look up the HR head gasket modification, you might want to do that while it's torn apart.
