Skid plate fugged

I was out the other night and bottomed out my G in Manhattan......worst friggin streets in the US. Anyways I put my car up on a lift today and seen that the plastic skid plate was almost ripped into 2 pieces. The good thing is nothing else was damaged.. I was going to replace it with a stock plastic plate but realized that this would be better if it was made out of aluminum or some other strong type of material.... I called the president of rally armor b/c I seen them manufacture skid plates for STI's . After a long conversation; he told me that his Company will fabricate them for me. Just curious if anyone else had a crappy incident like this & if they would be interested in getting on this functional upgrade. He told me by making these plates out of aluminum; the underbody would be well protected & the car would be stiffer in the front b/c the plastic skid plate flexes where as the aluminum plate is stiffer & would shore up the front.

I believe that the underbody panels serve an aerodynamic function as well. Make sure they also put in all the ridges, etc. of the panels if they make them if this is important to you. Also have them build a 'trap-door' so you can access the oil filter.
