Which cold air intake filter to go with?
3" flange diameter
I went to clean the one i've got now and im not sure if it needs to be oiled or not. Is there a way to tell if its a dry or oiled filter? I dont know the brand. Thought I'd just play it safe and get a new one. Most likely K&N, not sure which model. I want a more performance orientated filter.

No filter by itself is going to make a bit of difference in power or performance. Oiled or dry is a personal preference, I happen to prefer R2C filters but I don't think you can get them anymore. I run a K&N on both of our cars and have been happy with them for many years. Stay away from foam filters nd the WeaponR brand.
If in fact you have a K&N most quality auto parts stores sell the cleaning kit! ($10=) Or, if you want the best dry filter buy a AMSOIL drop in!
There's zero HP improvement in any filter but it's good to know your motor is breathing clean air...Gary

Easier to just change it out than waste time cleaning the K&N.
