Question about NISMO S-Tune GT S2 Vq35de Motor swap

I was curious I was looking to buy this NISMO S-Tune GT S2 Vq35de Motor for my g. It’s only for 05-06 year model rev up and mine is a rev up manual. For anyone that has swapped over a Jdm engine is there any parts or sensors that are not on the Jdm motor that have to be swapped over from my jams motor?

Just curious because I’m my Honda days there were a couple sensors I and to switch over. The engine will come with the ecu for the engine can I use that one being that it’s a Jdm unit just not sure how it goes and I don’t want any issues with smog but I want to replace my engine soon it’s coming up on 200k

thsnks in advance

Just use the motor and keep your existing ECM.

do you think the differndce in power is within the ecu? I want to almost assume there has gotta be internal parts that give the motor more power and or tourqe. I guess my main thing is this engine is complete with trans and rear diff and ecu it’s going to run me 4 grand I can get a replacement engine for like 1500 so I want to make sure if I got this set up that it was going to be better then my rev up that I have in my 05 now.

What are the power specs of this mythical "Nismo S-Tune GT S2" engine?

Most likely, it's identical to the revup you already have. The "S2 VQ35DE" is considered "series 2" and refers to a revup engine. It's an easy was to figure out of the engine is a regular VQ35DE or a revup VQ.

These aren't Hondas, there's no extra sensors that need to be moved over. You can use your existing wiring harness and probably plug in the JDM ECU also. Might need to disable NATS if you go that route, or just have your stock ECU tuned.

it kinda seemed that way lookin into the description of this motor it sounded like my rev up so I was curious. I was a Honda person for 15 years and obd 2 wise there was a sensor or two I always had to transfer over from my used engine to the Jdm one. I gave infiniti a chance and fell in love and it’s been good to me for 4 years.

didnt mean to reference like a Honda lol...

i just didnt want any smog issues cause my car my car has been clean and carb only stuff installed so I’m not dealing with crap in Cali. So I’ll probably use my stock ecu and get it tuned and call it a day.

I appreciate your response in the matter thank you

The Japanese Nismo had a 200 rpm higher redline than the stock rev-up, I don't know of any other changes.

oh ok thanks for the response like I said just trying to see if there are any benefits to getting this engine. At end of day I’ll have a engine with less miles then my 200k engine. It does come with trans and rear diff as well for 4 grand so I’m not seeing a loss there
