Engine swap 04 Sedan 5AT

Engine swap 04 Sedan 5AT RWD
Hey. So unfortunately, the G has cancer, and I will need to do either a rebuild or an engine swap. I'm keeping both options in mind, but if I were to do a stock engine swap, from which vehicles can I use the engine? Obviously the g35, but can it be from a 350z? What about the m35 and the fx35? Also can it come from an AWD vehicle or does it have to be from a RWD? Is a VQHR directly compatible? Any info would be helpful.

Yes, any VQ35DE that's NOT a rev-up from a G, 350Z, FX35, M35 will work. AWD/RWD doesn't matter at all, same engine.
It's very easy to spot the differences between the revup and the non-revup engine. The revup has exhaust timing solenoids and equipment that's impossible to miss on the front of the timing cover. The long block is essentially the same (different oil pump and oil pan baffle, rev-up is a "better" version so the long block is backwards compatible) but the heads and timing equipment are very different.
The HR motor will not work unless you're willing to do a complete powertrain swap including transmission, engine harness, ECM/TCM, etc. Very expensive and time consuming so it's probably not something you're looking for.
You cannot use the transversely mounted VQ35DE from a Maxima or Altima, the motor mount provisions are in a different location on the block. There's another thread I posted in earlier today with a link to the MAXIMA.ORG website that has a great thread with pictures of the differences.
Try car-part.com, craigslist, and your local japanese engine importer. Since you have the non-rev you can go with the low mile *** import engines, they usually run about $2500 for a 50k mile motor. If you're in the pacific northwest then Foreign Engines has been serving Washington/Idaho for a long time and are really easy to work with.
Make sure you get compression test numbers for all 6 cylinders before buying ANYTHING.
