Hi guys, curious about some great prices that you guys have gotten for your headers installs.

Thanks

Call Street Image in Baldwin Park. I'm sure they can give you a deal on the install and the headers.

$300 is the cheapest I've seen that's not a DIY job. Crawford charges $300, Lokey Infiniti (in Clearwater, FL) charges more... the most I've seen/heard is $600.

I had a set of DC Stainless Steel polished headers put in at my Infiniti dealership for $300. However, the service manager screwed up and gave me a quote for $300, which was PER header. Regardless, they honored the quote and I saved $300! The sound is fantastic and you can fee the rumble through the floor boards...

A good set of headers will cost between 800 and 1200.

I don't think that's a good thing. That rumble you feel is something contacting the header. I installed longtube headers on my friend's 00 Z28 and there was no additional rumble. Just an honest to God 25whp/30wtq gain with a marginal increase in exhaust noise. I wish there was a way to crame long tube headers under the hood of our cars because long tubes are the only way to go if you want to make real power. The shorty headers liek the ones offered for our cars are weak sauce in comparison to long tubes.

my g35x is at the shop now. they worked on the install today for 6 hours and didn't complete it. part of the awd system is in the way and its not easy to get around. just to do the dirvers side they had to take off the stearing rack. the nuts are also badly rusted and its a pain in the **** to take them off by hand when theyre like that. install should be complete by tomorrow morning. gonna leave a dent in my wallet for sure, but i think it will be worth it. will probably be done in a total of 8 hours at $98/hour.

I will be putting my headers on myself, when I have a free weekend.

I went with Stillen ceramic, and want to add mounts for the stock covers(so no one can really tell - ala CA Smog)

With exhuast, high flow cats, and headers added to what I already think is too much noise/road noise I will give up some of my gains to about 60lbs of sound damping material.

Funny, i bought this car 4 months ago, and had no thoughts of doing anything to it, not it is my damn hobby, and hole in my wallet

Do you have to cut the lengths of any stock pipes if you wrre to keep them when installing headers?
