Getting two engines, are they worth it?
Ok, here is the question I posted on the 350z thread,
===
Well, as I alluded to above, when I first started to have the overheating, I bled the cooling system over a dozen times (really!), and the car would invariably overheat after at most 30 minutes of driving. After swappign out the thermostat, it stopped from overheating, yet the evidence of a head gasket leak is unmistakeable. What do you make of this? Was swapping of the thermostat coincidental with the head gasket sealing up a bit? Because I did test the thermostat after removal in boiling water, and it DOES open and close properly. Do you see why I have been so perplexed for the last 2 months?
Any ideas?

If he could answer this or have any hunches, tha would be helpful, malx.
Thanks!

Man I just reread that, my typeing sucks. No are there any specific questions you will have for me, ask me now so I can find out from the guy I'm buying the motors off of so I make sure I'm not screwing you (or if you don't want one of them another buyer) over.
Alright here's the information for both engines I have. Gurgen if you want to call me after reading this my phone number is (201) 739-3887. Call anytime (open to everyone else as well if you are interested).
Engine 1: VQ35
20,000 Miles on it.
This engine is fully assembled and runs great. They had it running over at Infiniti. The guy that had it shipped his car to Africa and when he did had them put a used engine in it. This engine was making a poping noise and it would have costed him more money for them to rip apart the engine and locate the problem so he decided because he was selling the car, to have them put a used engine in it and ship it. After this transaction was done, they took the engine and located the problem. They told me that the timing needs to be adjusted.
Engine 2: Also a VQ35
2,000 miles on it.
This engine was in a Infiniti owned car in the lot that people used to test drive. One of the salesman submerged the car and hydrolocked the engine. The rod got bent. This engine is in pieces and was torn apart and needs the following: A camshaft, a connecting rod, and oil squirters. After that it will be fully functional. Because it's in parts it would be a GREAT engine to ship to have the stroker kit put on it. I think ABS makes one or whatever company but they use their own camshafts and rods, etc. If anyone is interested let me know but Gurgen has first dibs on the good engine.
