How to polish the stock plenum?

I have just taken the stock engine cover off, and there are two square marks from the engine cover where it has some foam tape touching. Then I used some rubbing alchol tried to rub it off but seems that part has a lighter color and is not oxidize like ther rest of the plenum.

How much work is involved to DIY polishing our plenum? And has anyone have any detail instructions to this??

G352NV recently did a huge write up on polishing but I fogot which thread it was. Try searching for polishing or search by user "G352NV" and it should be there. I believe he posted it last week.

start from a rough grit, like 80 grit then work your way up to 1000 grit. then use metal polish.
