Questions on Superchargers & Other Mods
Well, I have had my 04 6MT for a few months now, and just hit the 5000 miles mark. I have been babying the car since then, and now it is time for mods. I am picking up on Monday, TEIN Basic and a Greddy Exhaust. My company I am purchasing these items told me that they have sold a AEM intake to someone and they returned it, and now he is going to let me have it for #348.00 with bypass. Not sure if I want the AEM with some mixed reviews on here.
This is my first import I have ever done Mods to. I currently have a 1969 Olds Cutlass, with a 455 Big block supercharged, 400 trans, posi trac, new suspension, redone body and new paint. It took me 3 years to restore. I also have a 72 Buick Electra 225 (duce and a quarter) 100% stock in mint condition.
My daily driver is a 2000 Pathfinder now with 189,400 mile (yes that is right 189 thousand miles on it, god bless Nissan). I have a Kenwood KVT-915 head, Nav, 3 JLW-0 10", Kenwood music Keg, 10" drop down monitor, Morel Premiers 6 1/2" all around, 4" morel center sunk in dash, Kenwood Music Keg, VCR, Front and Rear Cameras, 2 Original Extant 550 AMPs, and a few others I can't even think of.
I have in my garage now for the G, 2 JL 10s, Morel Speakers, JL 550 AMP, currently making 2 custom boxes for the 10s, Motorola hands free kit, and Valentine one detector.
Anyway, A few questions for everyone here if they can help out.
I am currently looking at supercharges to *** soon. I have been really impressed with the Procharger Sport Compact 6psi with C-2. Is anyone running one of these on their G, on any other supercharger?
Second, being skilled in American Mussel, can anyone explain what exactly a Plenum does. I have heard a read a few different things and what advantages would be to install one?
Third, any suggestions on what next? Z-tube? Anything would help!
