yeah, don't be thinking you'll get anything like 15RWHP out of that or any exhuast.
Stillen likes to claim numbers like that, as do many others.

An independant mag test did give stillen the best HP gain but it was 8 not 15.

Well, Stillen does cater to the Nissan and Infiniti Models, but from what I've seen on the this and other web sites, their customer service is horrible. Also, Stillen does not monitor any of these threads, so they don't defend themselves. I don't know if this is through ignorance, or just an "I don't give a darn attitude". In any case, I do not and I will not ever own a Stillen Product. Just my opinion, and I'm stickin' to it.

BTW, they are a sponsor here, but I have yet to see a post from them.

Just once, I would like to see them come forward to defend themselves from the accusations I made above.

Come Mr. Steve Millen - Prove me wrong!

Lou
When I first research all of the mods I emailed all vendors and also called them all.
I have to say I was very disappointed in Stillen and was really planning on there products.
I even tried more than a few times to get some answers. This is what I got. Some jerk on the phone that was more worried about who was going to get the last donut than me.
Call it a bad day or bad timing but no thank you. Stillen kiss my a-s. I called Crawford and Damn "Doug answered the phone and set me up. I do not care who's products make the most dyno power. I want real world drivability. IM at the age where I want to be treated fair and get what I pay for. Guys am I right in thinking its the journey.
PS Lou" you know what the clean look is. I like D/G Sickone--- sharp mines think alike. Pasta

Interesting. I agree that the Stillen cat-back is excellent. But I think the stock intake box is one of the best factory setups I have ever seen. Goofy as hell? How so?

I added Kinetix Plenum/Cats, Stillen Intake and a Borla Exhaust and I've gotten pretty good gains from the combination - spending approx. $2000. I had to pass on the headers... They just didn't seem to be worth it for me (cost, voiding warranty, installation).

I haven't gotten a dyno on the mods I did put on, but it was definitely worth the expense. I've gotten some good numbers from a Passport G-Timer (which is pretty accurate, from what I've seen from test results online).

For those of you who have the full UR pulley set... Do you recommend the full set? Has it affected the car negatively at all?

I believe the AT will benefit more than the 6mt. From a drivability standpoint the 6mt will loose flywheel mass and hurt your low rpm take off. Not an issue with an AT. The install is a little more complex with the AT than the 6mt. The pulleys do not make power they just save it from the power robbing parts it spins. There are a few good threads here on this subject.
E K AND Sickone" did a good job on this subject. I does make your ride more zippy as I would call it but for me the trade off from a drivability stand point in a 6mt is a waste of money. I will be posting soon on what Im going to install. I think you should wait and see.
The pulleys are a good bang for the buck I just do not like what it has done for my driving style. Most love it and I can understand why they love it.
Remember this is a 3500lb car and you need some weight on the flywheel to get it moving. My two pennys

Thanks GEE PASTA. That answers my question. I actually should have searched the forums before posting the question anyway. I think I'll sit tight with the mods I have for now. I'm not sure what else will offer much, besides FI. I'll try to look later for the mods your post.

I thought aftermarket exhaust is one of the worst bang for the buck mods?

That is true, at the rear wheels you'll only get 8, but considering the G35 stock at the rear wheels is about 238 HP, its not too bad. Remember the 15 HP is at the flywheel, not the rear wheels. BTW, how is so much power lost from the flywheel to the rear wheels (sorry if this is a stupid question...)?

Now about my comment about the stock intake. When I pulled the unit out when I installed the AEM CAI, I noticed 2 air reservours along the intake tube leading to the engine, what the heck are those for? My buddy tells me they are restrictors that are trapping some air. I dunno why Nissan would do such a thing, but one theory I heard is so that the G35 will not have the same HP as the 350Z (what some claim as Nissan's US sports car flagship - Like the Vette is for Chevy). Although why is the new G35 MT model have 298HP? Unless the 350Z upped its HP as well...
