G35s vs G35c
G35s vs G35c
I did some searching here and couldn't find the answer to my question so hopefully someone knows this. What is the difference between the coupe and the sedan to give the coupe its more hp? Is it ECU related or hardware related? If so has anyone tried swapping a 5AT coupe ECU (or even a Z ECU) into a 5AT sedan, or is this even possible? I own a sedan and would like to get some extra power out of it if I could.

I believe it has to do with the intake being slightly larger and more polished, the exhaust being freer flowing, and a timing bump in the ECU.
Along with some aftermarket intake and exhaust upgrades available for our G's, there's work being done on an ECU upgrade.
Read Chebosto's thread in this Forum.... Good stuff....

Re: G35s vs G35c
Well I've never looked at a Gc exhaust system, is it straight dual or is it dual single dual? It is very likely to be more restrictive on the Gs though. Also thanks to all that damn plastic under the hood I've never been able to take a good look at a Gc's intake mani to see if it's noticeably different from a Gs. As far as that aftermarket ECU is concerned, it sounds interresting, but I'm weary about doing anything that major that could void the warrenty on essentially the whole car. Now if they made it so the dealership couldn't tell that it had been changed, well thats a different story.
