Anyone try the IMR grounding kit?

Anyone try the IMR grounding kit?

Hey everyone. I'm relatively new to the forum, and just recently bought a '05 Black G35 coupe. Just wanted to know if anyone has this Intense Motorsports grounding kit. Is it different then the Stillen or Nismo grounding kits? Better/worse? Their website says it uses 4 gauge wire instead of 8 gauge, does that make a big difference? The price difference is tremendous though, $59 vs $115 on their website.

Just wanted anyone's input. Thanks.

I have it.
Grounding Kit's will all the same, no real purpose just looks, and price.

Try Gordgee's grounding gear. It seems to be the most complete grounding kit out there. PM Gordgee if your interested.

ACTUALLY.... as far as I know, we have the thickest guage grounding kit out there: 4 guage. We custom cut them to length for all of the grounding points. Yes, they're mostly cosmetic, but they are dynoed to make a couple of ponies. I'm sure that, if you have alot of electronics/stereo equip they will be even more functional too!

+1, its just for looks, i have a red set if you want it. PM me. ohh and its a 6 wire kit also.

The IMR kit is just fine. I've got the red. The wires are very high quality and look nice. The instructions, however, were lifted from the Stillen kit and didn't match up very well. I installed them myself with only a couple of bruised knuckles. The engine runs very smooth and I'm glad I saved the money by going with the IMR kit.

But what does a grounding kit really DO, and how much is the install?

i ordered the stillen ground wires and the sales person told me that it shows performance every time on the dyno, contrary to popular belief its not alot but its still there also it looks nice

Yes, when we first produced the wires, we used Stillen's instructions. Unfortunately, they came out pretty dark, and were difficult to read. Since then (about a month after we produced them) we put together very in-depth, detailed instructions. I'm sorry if you were one of the first that recieved them with the Stillen instructions.
