Can someone explain the Samco thing to me? Is this a performance based mod or just cosmetic?

Thanks,

Jeff

for us average drivers, they are purely cosmetic. anyone telling you different is just trying to fool you.

It does come down to personal preference and cost. I for one am leaning towards Pi-thon locks, simply for the look, thus the reason for the GB.
Yeah, I probably would have gone with the Pi-thons purely for looks alone, but I couldn't justify their cost at the time. Maybe if you get a great G-B price....

Yes, you were one of the early adopters of GroundingGear™ back when I was still making them with basic custom designed tools. I've since spent $$$ on newly designed tools to ensure the best commercial quality available. And I still charge forum members about the same as back then. And hopefully with the money I'm spending this week, it'll be GroundingGear® in the US soon, just as it is in Canada now!

Though I doubt you'd notice the difference in performance, you're also paying for the peace of mind that SAMCO offers. Higher burst strength and superior construction mean that these hoses will last for as long as you own your car (and beyond). Those Group Buy prices are great, especially at the highest level. Remember that at this very moment, some British guy is carefully hand winding your custom hoses! I priced out the set from one of the Canadian Distributors, and they were charging about $320 CDN!!!

On the flip side of that.....

Right now, some British guy is hand making the electronics on a Jaguar!
We all know what that means.........

(Not to completely knock the British)

for FI cars the engine runs extremely hot.therefore the coolant also hotter than normal.1 of many potential problems is those hoses busted out.Samco hose are better than stock because they made out of better materials and race proven.other than that, cosmetic.they do look good.

the group buy has only been open for 3 days and we have 14 willing participants.

we need one more person to hit the magical 15 number and the kits will end up costing only $130.00 + shipping

hoping to get the ordering process started after the 4th of july weekend and shipment soon after.
