I finally got around to revamping the shift light and installing one in my G. Its working perfectly right now, and I have started rebuilding the test shift lights so that everyone can have the same thing. They should ship out Tuesday to Dan and then he can install them in his car, Neffsters, and Gmans. Thank you again to the FGC for all their testing help they have offered!
I hope that it is soon, since my gauge pillar just came in, and I want to fit this light before I get the pillar wrapped in leather. Keep us posted, I can't wait for this to come out. Any time frame right now? Thanks.

Well, to be honest I have had one in my work truck since about the first of the year. I have had no problems with mine. SFLG35 has had one for several months and his occasionally 'forgets' his shift point and occasionally doesn't initialize correctly. We've replaced the brains of his shift light several times and he still has occasional problems.
I just installed the newest version in my G35 this weekend. I haven't had any issues to date, but Dan never had any at first, it would take a few weeks, and then it only happens every once in a while. It may just be a glitch in his unit, but until we are confident this problem isn't going to be reproduced then I don't feel comfortable selling them. I am sending out 4 units to members of the FGC to conduct more testing. After about 3 weeks if all is well then I would say it will be ready to go!

Kevin,
I think I have Daniels unit, but my rpm limit is set at 6000 and I don't see that light too often with the gas prices as high as they've been. The times I have hit 6k I haven't experienced any problems. The light works perfectly, 3 quick/bright flashes.
If it doesn't rain this Friday I'll test the light out at the track and make several runs. I'll make sure to let you know how it performs.

Hey...I just heard from the man himself (SFLG35) that the KP Shift Lights are now officially ready for public release. I also heard that KP has released some new color LEDs too. I have had mine installed for a few months now and it has worked flawlessly. Makes driving the car hard that much more fun.
Check out this thread in the FGC...all KP stuff (not just the shiftlight) are on sale!

Ohh. I've just learned that the new sunroof modules are ready for release too. (makes your sunroof open and close with the keyfob). A few people have been testing it for a few months now. Cool stuff....
