What kind of mod is this?
Re: What kind of mod is this?
That is too funny, first thing I noticed was the grounding wires too on that first pic!! Gordon, did you make those wires for them? Looks just like yours...

No, mine always have copper terminal lugs and clear shrink tubing. That way you can always check out my obsessive workmanship and also see if any corrosion is creeping up the cable!
Nice job on what I can see though!

I think it's been looked into before. No strut brace is available yet for the G. A universal one might fit, but of course isn't very effective as it's not rigid enough.

Re: What kind of mod is this?
A FSTB comes stock on the Z, not on the G unfortunately. Nissan probably left it out to soften the ride. That would help with the G's "more luxury, less sporty" appeal, vs. the 350Z. Also, the independant intakes/TB/filter setup may look appealing, but is almost definately nothing you would want on your daily driver. That's more of a racing setup. Can you imagine what a PITA is would be to keep all TB's aligned, and tuned in sync, especially with the DBW!!!! Also, as mentioned previously, without some sort of hood ventilation, there would be an aweful lot of hot air being sucked in, especially during stop-n-go, everyday driving. Also, all 6 filters would have to be cleaned/replaced waaaay to often. What would be great, is to have each side run through two left/right bank air filter boxes on each side, which would seal to 90 degree intake tracks on the hood, for a RAM AIR system. May be hard to picture what I'm saying. Let me see if I can come up with some rough (any I mean ROUGH) pics.

LOL, ok. Check it out. Don't laugh!! OK, go ahead, I am!!! Anyway, oviously, with the Z's FTSB, this would require it's removal, but luckily, we don't have one on our G's.

And the hood would look something like this. Personally, I don't really like the look, but its more functional, then visually pleasing.

you cant conver KILOGRAM METERS to FOOT POUNDS by multiplying 2.2 LBS per KG. you are forgetting about the Meters... I know, physics probably wasnt your subject.
