Hi G35_Foo. I've been thinking about this intake too. Not many people have this intake mainly because of the price. Most people go with a Z-tube and other filter which is about half of what the HKS piece costs. I've heard that pretty much any intake for the G will have marginal power gains. The sound though is supposed to be very aggressive and give a nice growl/scream.

I've also heard that this intake doesn't filter as well as others. It's meant to keep out sticks and bugs. Other particles may/will get through. I live in a high dust/sand/dirt area and I'm a little hesitant to pick this intake up because of the filtration effectiveness.

The quality of this piece is like any other HKS piece. It's built well and of very high quality. I really wouldn't worry about the fit, finish, and peformance of this intake. Just buy what you like. I think I'm going to get this intake. If you decide to buy it, let me know how it goes.

Take care.

yeah dust might get in. but isnt that with any intake system? i mean will i risk the change of damaging my motor or anything to that extent if so i might pick a differnt route. and i heard it on the 350z a tad louder at idle i mean its like you holding ur car at 1100-1400K no to loud. but when u punch it he says by far one the most sucking intakes he has seen. HKS of course is a bad *** brand had expereince with them before. and i like the mushroom filter look

so no one ehre has the HKS super suction installed on their G?

I have the HKS Suction on my car. The intake doesn't whistle like the JW popcharger but you do hear a suction sound. If you have any specific questions lemme know

kaigenx- How difficult was it to install? I plan on putting it in myself, so anything special I should know about? A concern of mine are all the connections/hoses from the original intake and if they are used on the HKS piece.

Thanks for the help. Take care.

Wasn't too hard to do...took a little bit longer because of all the different clamps and stuff. The intake should come with a installation guide to follow so it makes it a tab bit easier. The only thing i found was that I couldn't fit on the heat shield properly...for some reason the front edge of it was touching one of the metal lines in front of the car. Also so i used the cone holder from my JW Popcharger to secure it down to something since the one that HKS provides didn't really seem to fit...
