Tallboy is good for Nitrous. Crawford works just as well for NA and other FI applications. Doug was the original designer and person who found the intake manifold breathing deficiency and he owns a good company with a good reputation for customer service.

v5 is better if you want to save a little money. Tall boy is unproven, at least from what I've seen and they're a long wait. I think the tall boy looks better, but the v5 is a proven design and its saves some money $$. The performance difference is probably small too. This is the same thing I'm currently trying to decide on as well.

Thumbs down

For whatever it's worth.... I have had problems with 2 crawford plenums. The first had a hairline crack we noticed after the install. Doug sent me a replacement, but I got burned on the installation fee. The 2nd one caused the c.e.l. to go off, and created a problem with the evaporative emissions system. Finally had to have my local dealer fix the problem with a short bypass tube to the front of the plenum. $75 for that problem.

The plenum is a good product, but I had other problems with their hi-flow cats as well. I won't buy another product from them.

In all fairness, I am pretty sure that there are hundreds if not thousands of other G35 drivers who are quite happy with Doug Crawfords' product line. Good luck.

That sucks. Did you tell Doug about the problem with your cats? I bet he would have replaced them for free if you would have called him.

Crawford is a Great Company to do business with. I have all their bolt-ons. My gains have been documented by the Dyno. All the products worked as advertised out of the box. Crawford is one of the good guys who makes stuff that is properly designed and works.

Just wondering if its unproven how can there be an opinion on it? 2 turbo'd 350Z's gained 20+hp from the tall boy (which is what it was developed for primarily) but nobody has really dyno'd on an n/a application.

And I got my tallboy 2 days after ordering it from GRD.
