cleaning popcharger

I need to clean my popcharger and have access to oil.. but wanted to know.. when you oil the filter, can you use any type of oil made for fitlers... say K&N oil or does it have to be the oil that JWT makes? I was pretty sure it's all the same but wanted to make sure.

K&N is fine. It will turn your popcharger red if you care about that sort of thing.
