If that's the case, what is their sythetic blend? I think I remeber seeing Mobile 1 Sythetic and Mobile Sythetic blend.

Also, there is no entity that regulates what can be advertised on an oil container.
Actually this changed about 2-3 years ago.

Mobil 1 is a full synthetic like Amsoil. They use to be 1/2 and 1/2 but they changed there ways once tests were showing poor results for long term. Remember when it use to be Tri-Synthetic? That was when it wasn't a full synthetic.

But I use Amsoil since it is the best oil you can get for your money.

Plus I am a Amsoil dealer

Royal Purple has poor longevitiy. It has been tested time after time to not last after 3k of miles and it actually sludges up for daily driving type of use. Royal Purple is made for a temporary solution for a racing enviroment then be changed again. It wasn't designed to be in a daily driven car. This is why it rates poor.

The best oils are as follows:

Amsoil
Redline
Mobil 1

I use amsoil ... have been for over 40k miles on my previus G and the engine was very strong ... for those that dont know where to get it in rockland county NY, I get it from Marks auto in Tallman on rt 59, most of the time they have it in stock and if not they get it for me the very next day.

Actually all other testing would say otherwise...I have yet to hear a study saying Mobile 1 is all BS...not sure what auto school you go to.

I've used Mobile 1 religiously in my girlfriend's CL type S, my Supra TT, as well as my current G. My supra was a 93 TT with 90K on her and she ran like a champ. Most forums you go to will say the same.

'German' as in the country. Castrol makes a very high quality (and expensive) Synthetic designed for preformance cars in Germany. Never used it myself, but I've heard great things about the stuff from Porsche and Audi owners.

What's the best Synthetic Oil ?

Let me start by saying, Mobil I is a full synthetic oil! It says so on the label.
It "really" doesn't matter which synthentic you use as long as you keep an
eye on the condition of the oil. If it looks dirty, change it!
My previous ride was a '92 300Z that I put well over 125,000 miles on. I
used Mobil I and changed oil and filter every 2,000 miles. It was a great
car and with all those miles on it I never had to add oil between changes.
I also never saw smoke at startup either. Hope this gives you some idea
of what you need to be doing......

That's right. My father's 911 Turbo requires 0W30, which is most commonly found overseas. Your not gonna find it on the shelves at your local auto parts shop. It usually has to be ordered.

It's great, because it obviously SUPER thin and is perfect for cold starts.

Here's the rides together:

Has anybody done a Blackstone analysis to see if it's really any better?
