What is the difference between "MREV Copper Iso Thermal" and the regular one? Any performance benefit? also for that price $5xx.xx that includes everything including the 5/16 spacer?

Can someone smarter than me (and who has been following this thread more closely) please quantify and qualify the differences between the MREV 287HP collecter with the 5/16 spacer, and the MREV 287 HP collector with modified intakes with the 5/16 spacer based on the dynos found in this thread?

If only all the dyno graphs were now edited with a note so that the exact mods they represent can be easily understood. Do all have the 5/16 spacer, do any have the 1/2 spacer? All i know is AzSi22 has the 3/8 (um, is this the 5/16th spacer?) and the MREV with modified intakes-or so he believes... I know half the answers are in Tony's post on page 12. Can we get the definitive word put in the edits to help those of us wallowing in confusion? Thanks!

The only difference (I believe) between the Modified and non-modified lower plenum is that the modified plenum has the top of the runners on cylinder 1&2 machined and polished down for more volume in the plenum. But other than that, I think they are the same.

Also, Motordyne used to make a 3/8" spacer before the 5/16" spacer. I bought the 3/8" spacer about 4 months ago.

All the other pages are done but this one is up even though it still needs work on the graphics and text.
Some of the prices appear to be wrong.

Also, it defines the Rev-Up engine as the the engine that is on the 2006 6MT Z's I would also mention that the 2005 Anniversary and Track models (for the 350Z) also had the Rev-Up engine, and of course, the 2005 and 2006 G35 6MT's.

The Copper will help to keep your plenum cooler if you are driving in cold or very cold weather, but its also a convience feature for people living in cold weather areas. You don't have to switch any valves based on weather conditions.

Its plug and play. Install it and your done. You don't have to switch anything.

I still need to do more testing to conclusivly define the effects of the modified runners. But if you go to the first page this thread you will see Klumzyees dynos and Alexes dynos.
Klumzyee had unmodified runners.
Alex had the modified runners.
AzSi22 also had the modified runners.

Yep. That and pictures and graphics too. But the sturcture is done. Now I need to work on the finer details.

I drove in Wnt1Bd's car yesterday. I was one of the skeptics you have seen on the forum and here is my bit of free advertisement... maybe it will get me a few bucks off heh...

That mod is excellent for the power. First gear was unbelieveable. They spoke of torque... you get torque and the hp to match. I watched the tach go as I hit the pedal and that sucker flew through the first 2 gears quick. I didnt top out 3rd.

Needless to say, I want one now.

For a limited period of time, I'll give a $100 discount if you can install it on the dyno for pre/post testing.

If you could also post your results/impressions on the other Z and G boards that would be great.

okay...but what about other mods

I think it's great that Tony has gotten this mod out and the number of happy customers is more than enough for me to want to get this mod. Now, has anybody done the MREV with other mods besides the z tube and filter? I'm curious to see how MREV works with a cat back, or high flow cats.

While it hasn't been quantified yet, I would guess any breathing mods would be complimentary.

With an engine being little more than an air pump, more airflow = more power.

Tomorrow i will be doing a Baseline and hopefully a Mrev Dyno run in the same day using the same Dyno.

In another week or 2 im going to do another same Dyno run with my HKS Hi-Power Exhaust and Pro-1 Test Pipes and i will post my Dyno sheets so everyone can see how much each mod affects power.

Right now im Stock everything as far as motor mods(no Z-Tube or K&N Air filter)
