I'll 2nd that post. The car does have a much deeper tone above 4k. The pick up is great and I will get my final Dyno results this Friday. The car is very punchey if you know what that means. If you gun it, your thrown a little deeper in your seat.

I'll 3rd the deeper tone. It's very noticeable, as soon as you drive the car for the first time. LOL . . . Punchey? . . . Yes, it definitely is.

Thanks, Tony.

Just to clarify also, I believe I received the modified lower plenum. It had the runners machined down.

Basically, it does as advertised, the power is much more usable as predicted with a bit of sacrifice of top end, but I don't race my car so its not a big deal to me. :thumbs up:

Edit: Just to clarify also, I believe I received the modified lower plenum (It had the runners machined down). This may account for slightly better numbers. I had the 3/8" spacer as well.
Did you have the mod installed on the dyno? I'm not calling BS, but the run times were separated AT MOST by 29 minutes, if the times are accurate.

No, the install was not done at the same time, but nothing has changed on the car between those runs and all conditions were nearly identical.

Then when did the baseline run occur?

A month or 2 ago. The runs were done on the same dyno. The car mods have remained the same. The dates on the runs are the same because they were sent to me from the dyno location to my house so I could plot them on the WinPEP dynorun viewer.

If you're questioning my test, I have no reason to lie about anything or modify the numbers at all. I paid for the plenum and mods myself and without Tony knowing that I was going to conduct my own dyno test. I just wanted to see what the numbers would be after the mod.

I'm not questioning the dyno, the tests, nor the results. I'm just curious about the discrepancies on the dates listed in the screen cap. I've got winpep7 also, and my shop emailed me all 6 of my runs(3 runs in August, 3 a week and a half ago). All the dates are correct.

Believe me, I want to believe your results. I plan on installing the mod as soon as I am able, and I would love to have the same results. So don't think I'm calling BS.

But I'm still confused about how the dates are messed up.

I believe that because they were all sent in 1 zip file, that it may have changed the created date for some reason. Other than that, I'm not sure why else that would have happened.

LOL . . . I made a MREV believer of my brother, tonight. Never, to be repeated again . . . But I gave him a run in his '04 6MT Sedan. For me . . . This closes the book with regard to how MREV delivers in daily driving.

I won't go into the details. People seem to get a bit too sensitive and skeptical about MREV and that is not productive for anyone. He made a few comments, as he calls it, in my review thread.

LOL . . . I did get a free dinner out of the deal.

I am a relative novice at DIY's. It took me some 2-1/2 hours to install the complete MREV kit. I took a very slow pace, as not to screw anything up, if you will. Before I did anything, I read over Tony's instructions quite a few times prior to performing any steps. I completely removed the upper plenum, which probably cost a bit of extra time.

The install is a walk in the park for most of you modding type folks. In my case, this was a major mod for me. I would have asked for some help, but I kept to my promise not to expose the MREV components. It was a great feeling when I finished and started my G up.

It was quite simple looking back on it. If I can do it . . . Anyone can!
