I'm so jealous. If I weren't so "responsible", I'd swap out my sedan for a z in a heartbeat. Gorgeous man.

BTW - what's up with your torque? Is that with the MREV?

You seem to peak at 5k, which isn't too far off I guess. But what's with the dips at 2800 to 3100 and again from 4k to 4300? And why do you see such a disparity between the plateau's? That's really bothering me man. What's going on with your car?

Or is it just a higher-resolution dyno? I've done roughly 30 dynos on mine and cheryl's cars, all of them on a dynojet, and I've never seen such bounce. Is this typical of these cars on a dynapak?

It's the Dyna pack. They are extremely sensitive/responsive. And yes, this is very typical for a VQ on a dynapack.

The Z is totally stock. (for now)

Part of the reason is due to the aspacing on the y axis on the torque chart, as well. It is rather "fine" spacking, for lack of a better word. If you look at the difference between the peaks and valleys, there is only about a 10-15 lb-ft difference in the peaks and valleys, which, on a normal dyno chart, would look much smoother.

Nothing is wrong with the dyno chart, the y axis is just a bit strange.

Very nice Z. I love the white and those new 5 spokes WILL be on my G in the near future. They're just dead sexy.

And they look much better when you see them in person.

DaveB, none of us like to hear when a G bro has a family loss. Best wishes with everything.

Damn Tony 271 stock? That seems really high. I dynoed 234 stock on a dyno jet.

By the way your Z look very purdy.

I don't think so. Here is a pic. Not sure why I'm having so much trouble getting these new bolts to go through.

Its the dynapack. Nearly every stock REVUP dynos at 270
+/- 2 HP on the dynapack.

Could it be cross thread?

They fit on all other Z's, including mine. If you put the bolts together so they fit thread within thread, how do they fit? Do they match?

EDIT: I took another look at the picture you posted. I noticed the stock bolt threads (near the end of the bolt) look shiny. As if they were galled or possibly cross threaded. What do you think?

No they are not cross threaded. I will try and get them on there again and see what happens.

Did he say which bolts? The G35 doesn't use strutbar bolts.
