This has been around for quite a while now.

The only issue ive heard is that it's a little harder to seal.
Due to the angle the bolt heads don't sit flat.

I think they resolved most of the issues with special washers.

IMO the AAM spacer isnt as good as the motordyne spacer or crawford upper plenum.. First of all the quality of the spacer does not match. its edges are a bigt sharper and looks less "refined". It also uses 3 OEM bolts. it moves the longer bolts in the rear of the plenum to the front. I believe you do not get washers with the bolts or they had two washers? O.o (sorry i forgot.. been a while since the install) and most of all they do not give you 2 bolts to replace the hex screw.. so you have a really big gap between bolts

also their gains did not match motordynes or crawfords upper plenum and again this MOD will not work for the 05/06 6MT & 350z track

anyways after the install it was not leaking (or did not appear to be) and we did a dyno run on it.. i think the sportsz magazine is out by now.. should go check it out.

don't know if it works or not but i got it on my aps st setup. i'm making 370whp/395torque at 8.5 psi. probably helps a little. i'll know more when i get the car dyno tuned.

before I got Tony's spacer I talked with DaveO about an angled spacer... I didn�t know one existed but it seemed logical to me. Dave can elaborate but I believe it was determined that the extra cost to manufacture (which would be passed on to consumer) did not out way any performance benefit (if any).

Motordyne's spacer has been proven to provide comparable gains - it's cheaper - and lot's of people have been using it (so it's past the reliability test).

I recommend Motordyne. I've been happy with mine.

If I remember correctly, the angled spacer was out before Motordyne's, as were a few other brands of plenum spacers. Crawford tried to discredit the use of plenum spacers, saying they were ineffective.

None really caught on until Tony's excellent product. It's apparent the R&D Motordyne does in his mod offerings (rather than just following a money-making trend), and he deserves the support of the G and Z community.
