Yes, you need an extension (yes, I'm talking about the exhaust
)
However, I cannot point you in the right direction on where to get it.
I'd be surprised if Fujitsubo didn't offer one.

Fujitsubo probably doesn't have one because they a model for each car. You can pick one up a performancenissan.com for about $50.
Also, the tips on the Z exhaust will be too short to come past the rear bumper. They'll look short.

Performance Nissan has a 6 inch extension pipe available for the Nismo exhaust. since Nismo and Fujitsubo exhaust are the same, this should fit the fujitsubo just fine. as Al said, the tips wont line up exactly right with the rear bumper... although it might not look too bad as the Fujitsubo tips are MASSIVE (i love them though)

Is the extension universal (it can be used with any aftermarket exhaust)? If so i'll sell my current exhaust and use the extension with the veilside Ti exhaust.
since the extension pipe that Performance Nissan sells is for the Nismo/Fujitsubo exhaust, it is a 3" diameter (76mm) pipe. i would guess it would work with any exhaust of the same diameter
however... as myself an Al have noted... the exhaust tips in the rear WILL NOT LINE UP with the rear bumper... your exhaust tips will be hidden under your valence by about 2-3 inches. (not to mention all the black crud that will form and possibly heat damage due to the hot exhaust gases hitting the bumper)
