tony,

I tried one pass with my Mrev on wedensday earlier this week.

I went 14.4 @ 99mph w/ a 2.29 60's time. Unfortunately, I didn't get a very good launch and I wasn't sure where to shift with the new power curve of the MREV. I'm pretty sure I shortshifted it My 1/8 mile times were 9.4 @78 mph.

The up side is that this time is considerably better than my pre-Mrev pass of a 14.9 @ 95.5 mph.

Yes, it needs to be done by Alberto, but it doesn't mean you both cant do it.

I say Alberto because if you go back to some of his prior posts you will see that he has made some really good times on the track. Really good... I've seen C6 Corvetts that don't do that good. And Vetts have a huge muscle advantage. Driving skill matters a lot.

So if anybody can test the limits of the pre and post MREV install capabilities, its Alberto.

Give him a post on the Z board if you would like to do it.

14.9 to 14.4 is quite a difference. How many runs did you make in the pre condition?

one one 1 run prior.....a few months back.

track conditions are always slippery at Moroso. I am more interested in the trap speed. a 3.5 mph improvement. I'm sure I could have gotten more by playing with shift points.

I really need to make a nitrous pass to see what happens with the MREV. My previous on spray is a 13.0 @ 110.5 mph.

Hydrazine,

VQDriver has exceptional driving skills and he has TONS of drag racing experience. He also races at one of the better tracks in the nation. You should seriously consider him because he will get it done.

You can certaintly be there for all of it. In fact, that would be even better because you can take notes or just observe the process.

I just need Alberto to do the run down the strip. That's it.

how many runs are we talking about? do you think more than 5 runs?

will there be any other stress put on my car other than from running down the strip? (for instance, does alberto want to worm up my tires by peeling out before timing?)

and how long do you think the whole process will take?

Alberto is known as the "no lift to shift" king. Check out his sig and a video of a run by him on my 350.com
