Fueling issues???

This will be second trip to the dealer to fix the fuel sender/gauge. Before the tank would not fill up and last night I sat on the side of 280 wating for fuel to arrive. The gauge reads 1/4 of a tank when empty. Has anyone had this exact problem or this type of problem? They dealer acts as if my car has an unheard of problem. I'm getting pissed...side of the freeway for a hour When I filled the car up she ate 16.754 gallons of 91. Thats after the 2.5 from the gas can

Re: Fueling issues???

Before putting in a grounding kit, my car would be off by 1/8th of a tank. Sounds like the dealer needs to replace some parts in your fuel tank.

Re: Fueling issues???

my fuel gauge wouldn't read full.... took my car in, they replaced the sender and tank.
works right now, that was the first time I had the problem.
I had the grounding kit in, and when it happened I took it out, though i've been assured it would have nothing to do with each other. so i might put it back in this weekend.

Re: Fueling issues???

My fuel gauge works fine, I never let it drop below the !/4 mark but around that area it takes 14 to 15 gallons, fairly accurate!
Good luck with repairs!!
