Re: TechnoSquares ECU in the works for the SEDAN....
I wonder if the gains for the sedan will be greater than the coupe. As I understand it the sedan is even more "Detuned" than the coupe. That would be sweet if just with the ECU mod they could get like 15-20 hp instead of 7-9 as they did with the coupe.

smccallis,
you are exactly right. we sedan guys (especially the 5AT crowd) can expect the highest gains. I am in fact 99% convinced that our dyno will be within 5% of 350Z dynos. Watch!!!
My plugs are being fouled up because i am using a preproduction ECu, not my own, not hte OEm, and not one that was tuned by TechnoSquare. This is a compromise to grounding my car for 2 weeks. running rich for two weeks in no way will damage my engine, just foul some plugs thats all.

Now there's a positive thinker...I hope you're right.
Not sure but doesnt running rich for extended periods also annialate the O2 sensors?

You maybe right, but it is unlikely. If you say that having some factual evidence from experience or just knowledge, I wrespect that. But I after thinking about it for a while, here is what I came up with:
I am getting about 200 miles instead of 240 or so (because of how I drive). So lets say that is running the engine roughly 20% richer as it consumes 20% more gas for the same volume of gas. Given that the normal fuel ratio on our cars is roughly 12.5 air/fuel (volume) and goes down to 10.5 for anything above 4000rpm (a roughly 20% increase), it is doubtful that a 20% increase over norm will harm the O2 sensor (as that is the case for 4000+ rpm normally).
Now this works only if you keep it under 4000, and I guess now that I have though about it, I should have done that (as I will for the remainder of the period).
Not just a positive thinker, but I would appreciate your input on this guys. Am I harming my engine. So far only 1 possible YES to that.

Re: TechnoSquares ECU in the works for the SEDAN....
Gonna be going down there today. My ECU is back from Japan. Now that they have the firmware extracted, they are going to tweak it a little, attach a wideband Oxygen sensor and find that optimum air/fuel mixture and adjust the maps in the ECU to follow it.
We are very very close guys.
Will keep you all posted.
