Rowdy: Are you saying that your G35 sedan can beat a G35 coupe then? You must be a great driver or your friend needs to give up his M3!!!!!!

Re: will beat an m3 after next mod

I got my butt handed to me by an M3 on the highway. Wasn't much of a race, but once he took off i just let him run. I hit 180kms that night and he was probably doing 200+kms. I guess he wanted to beat me bad. Haha...no harm done here...i have an auto

It's still a G thang!!

Re: will beat an m3 after next mod

rowdy, rowdy, rowdy. I was just simply stating that the M3 will smoke the coupe, unless the M3 guy doesn't know how to shift at all. Secondly, I Love Lamborghini's/Ferrari's/Zonda's/Porsche's/Aston Martins. Does that mean I shouldn't get any other car because I love those cars?
In case you didn't notice, I Love my G, but I still give credit to other cars when it's due. And an M3 deserves a lot of credit. If you've been around this forum long enough, you'll know that there are many people who love the M3, and all those other high end cars, but still Love their Gs. Enough said.

Peace.

Re: will beat an m3 after next mod

sorry guys, but our cars just arent the same league as the //M. live with it. even with an s/c (especially with the ****-poor numbers that Grubbs got), it will still be a drivers race. you have to understand that they are race-bred, engineered cars that are pretty much the pinnacle for sports coupes. that is as long as they get the proper oil to the 5th and 6th cylinder. i love my car, but had i the funds, i would be driving an M3 right now. and in 3 yrs i hope to be driving an M5. no dis to the G. but BMW makes outstanding driver cars. flame.........now!!!!!

Doc

You have been weighed.....You have been measured.....and you have been found WANTING!!!

i wont ever buy a bmw for myself, they are very nice and i love the M3, even moreso the 6 series coming out(oooh m6) but i like to tune my car myself and personalize it, cant really do that to a bmw without ALOT of money.

And you dont haveto believe the E46 M3s had all those problems, even though every car magazine reported on it.

Yeah, that M6 is gorgeous...I guess the new plan is to let M have their way with each series this coming year...I've always held the M3 and especially the M5 in high regard, but the developing engine issues are really disappointing from this marque...

Yes, M3 is such a nice car but not an ideal car for modification. This is why you see very few M3 owners modify thier Engines, especially the new ones. My friend has gone over a variety of superchargers, turbos, and intercoolers claimed to offer more performace gain than stock; however, when he dynoed his 2002 M3 with those equipments on it, the number never came out to be the number the manufactures claim it to be or much less than the stock. Sadly, he had go back to stock, and he is much happier now with his car. This is why I think Gs have the potential in beating the Ms in terms of performace modificaiton. With that said, M3 is still a good car in spite of its other issues and problems.
