Oil on headers, engine bay = SMOKE
got my oil changed at a gas station by my work yesterday - never had a problem with them, always the same guy working on the car, no problems. this time - new guy....
noticed weird burning smell. comes and goes. can't figure it out. today, while accelerating hard, i happen to look in my rear view mirror, and see the biggest smoke cloud i've ever seen!!! i pull into my garage, start looking around - see some oil on the plastic piece covering the bottom of the engine. start looking around and see that the oil dipstick is not inserted all the way in! so, at load, it was spewing bits of oil on the hot headers!!!
boy, was i pissed... checked my oil level - it's fine. just a bit of the oil on the headers...

You should go back and let them know what happened. It's important to employers to let new staff know they may or may not be working to the normal shop standards! It's the only way things can improve.
