I live in Alpharetta. My office is at Abernathy Road and GA400. My house is 15 miles from work yet it takes my 25-30 minutes to drive in the morning leaving at ~645am and it takes about 35-40 minutes to get home leaving at 4pm. On Fridays, it takes about 50 minutes to an hour to get home. I believe Atlanta has some of worst traffic in the nation next to DC and LA. Atlanta's problem is poor city and county planning. They just let the developers run the show for the past 10 years and never considered the fact that the 2 lane roads weren't up to the capacity to handle the load.

You and your elite group never made mention of this. Your group's thought was that the removal of the duct introduced a whole bunch of hot air into the airbox and that you'd be slower without the duct. Unlike you, I monitored the air intake temps and MAF readings with my OBDII logger and saw a minimal change. BTW, my car actually went quicker and faster without the duct. Go figure.
But you saw a change of temp and it was in the hotter direction did you not?

Thank you.

At idle for a prolonged stop, I saw about 8-15 degrees over ambient in 80 degree weather. Once over 20mph, absolutely no change. A 8-15 degree increase is hardly going to make a difference.

I've run my G down the track 10 times now with the engine scalding hot and totally cooled down. There is absolutely no difference in 60', ET, or MPH.
